Beth Ahm, “the small synagogue with a big heart,” is a conservative, egalitarian community.

Its members come from many of the surrounding towns, drawn to the welcoming environment, the excellent adult education offerings, and the inter-generational services and friendships.

Our Children's Jewish Learning Center has an innovative curriculum and an unusually small faculty to student ratio. A tuition discount is extended to synagogue members who choose to enroll their children in our preparatory Shabbat morning programs. Membership in our synagogue is a prerequisite for enrollment from the third grade onward.

Our rabbi is intimately involved in all facets of Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation. This affords our children an opportunity that is increasingly rare in the larger Jewish community; that of meaningful and extensive time to study and grow under the inspirational tuteladge of a rabbi.

Beth Ahm also offers:

  • A spiritually inspiring and intellectually challenging Adult Education Program.
  • Regular, interesting social programs of Jewish and/or recreational interest to our membership.
  • Numerous social action and social justice volunteer opportunities. Make a difference in the larger community.
  • High holiday tickets are included in annual membership dues.
  • Member sponsored Oneg Shabbat on Friday evening and Kiddush Lunch on Saturday following Services. Celebrate and commemorate events and anniversaries with our community.
  • Junior Congregation programs on Shabbat morning for children of all age groups.
  • Various programs and community activities.
  • Our Gemilut Chassadim committee reaches out to members in need.
  • Prospective members - please read a letter from Rabbi Kriegel
